Tap Water – It’s the clear choice

Congratulations to Portsmouth Water employee Alex Hughes on winning the 2016 Water Pitcher Challenge at the Institute of Water Annual Conference which was recently held in Birmingham.

As part of the Institute of Water’s, “Water Pitcher Challenge” members were invited to create a 30 second video to promote the value of drinking tap water
Alex produced a short video that was shortlisted and was screened with the four other shortlisted videos at the Institute of Water Conference. The delegates all voted to select the winner and Alex’s video was voted a clear winner.

The video showed what could happens to us and the planet if we all become de-hydrated. Using the tag phrase “Tap Water ….. It’s the Clear Choice” the video shows the positive impact water has on our lives.

Alex on winning the award said “When I first heard about the challenge I thought I can do that, but never expected to be shortlisted, let alone to be voted the winner by the delegates at the conference.

Being voted the winner by people from within the industry made it even more special. I am proud to work for a Company that produces a product that ensures we all stay alive and hopefully my video lets people understand a little bit more about the value of our tap water.
